About Larmenier

At the request of Archbishop Guilford Young the Sisters of Nazareth opened Larmenier School in1961. The school began with 35 pupils and 2 teaching sisters. The school is named after Victoire Larmenier who founded the Sisters of Nazareth. The special vocation of these sisters is care of the aged and the young.

The school's core values are based on the traditions of the Sisters of Nazareth; love, compassion, patience, justice, hospitality and respect.  These are highlighted daily  throughout the school in every activity, including newsletters and assemblies.

When the Sisters left the school in 2003 the enrolment had grown to 220 students and a school staff of 16.
